VEGAN VANILLA ALMOND SMOOTHIE WITH BANANA AND CACAO
Seeing as we’re all living in the same time right now, I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s feeling more than a little frazzled and spacey, and even though I seem to have more free time than ever, I’m finding it hard to be productive.
Alas, life doesn’t wait for anyone, even when we’re in the midst of an unprecedented epidemic, so we’ve still got things to do ( or at least we should so we don’t end up spacing out on the couch all day). I’ve found that now, more than ever, the key to any semblance of productivity has been to start my day off on a good foot- and for me that means eating right. One of my go-to meals for the morning has become this tasty vegan almond smoothie. It’s packed with protein and nutrients, but it’s not thick and heavy, which is a problem I’ve had with other smoothie recipes I’ve tried in the past. Also, we all know that finding frozen fruits can be difficult right now, so make your own by slicing fresh bananas and freezing them in a re-usable ziplock.
Do yourself a favor and start the day off with some feel-good (and actually good for you) fuel!
